Real parenting.

It's day two of the cruise to Alaska.  It's awesome.  The ship is huge.  There is always something to do.  Games, swimming, exercise room, eating, bars, casinos and shopping. 

My mother and son must always be moving.  "wannagotothe..." insert anything.
NO.  No I don't. 
I got up this morning got cleaned up and ate.  Then bought wifi minutes, found a corner in a number of areas, people watched and had little or no interaction with people.  I'm having a great time.  I don't believe I'm a huge social introvert.  On the contrary.  I have a job that requires 100% people interaction 100% of the time.  My son is a social butterfly.  He can be entertained in any environment AND by any/everyone.

In order to recharge my batteries...I need to be alone.  It must stem from being an only child in a small family.

I'm having a great time...BY MYSELF.

As I type...
Victor, the latin cruise entertainment director, is showing a ton of people, on the dance floor of the bar I'm in, how to Meringue (sp).  I'm having a blast watching and listening.

I'm not with anybody.  I'm not talking to anyone.  I'm having a great time.

This place was great too.  It was a little too busy for me tho...
