It ended much better than I expected.
The usual things happened that could have springboarded me into a fit of rage. (with or without the quitting smoking) The mapquest directions to the parking area were vague. We got lost. I knew I should have brought my GPS. My mother was anxiously laughing while we tried to get turned around. This happened the last time that the three of us travelled together. She brought bad directions and we were so lost that a pack of wild horses passed in front of us.
We found the ship, eventually. I parked, we got on the shuttle with bags in hand...and I realized I left my wallet in the car. Back to the car...sorry to inconvenience all of you other travellers...
The ship is huge...the room is tiny. It's small for only ONE person, let alone three. Sterling's bed drops down from the ceiling, above his grandmothers bed.
Thank the heavens for food. The constant motion of hand to mouth was pacifying. Even if I didn't have a cigarette in my hand. We ate a ton yesterday. My mother was the person that kept wanting to go back and eat...although neither Sterling nor I argued.
To start the cruise, we had a treasure hunt that showed us where all the stores are. It was during this hunt that I found all I would need. Food, Internet cafe and casino. Sweet.
Sterling and his grandma ran around all day yesterday. Food, pool, exercise and touring.
I found a bar that was playing team trivia. I played solo and took second place. That was fun.
The other crap...not for me. I ate and napped and ate and slept. Awesome.
This morning I woke up...showered/shaved...got dressed...found the buffet and ate. A nap is in the near future. The boy and his grandma have left me. They went to a show that told them where to shop....WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
More to come
