Kids love snow. Sterling loves to exaggerate. He loves to exaggerate about snow more.
It started snowing here today. Just a tiny bit. The forecast says the snow will last all of 4 hours.
Rain will wash it away after that.
It's not really sticking here, especially on the road.
Sterling bolted in with two of his friends. "IT'S SNOWING"!
He ran into his room, with the two boys in tow. I could overhear them talking excitedly about what they would do in the snow. "We can ride our bikes and skateboards". (cause they can't do that when it's NOT snowing). Sterling asked me for some of his Christmas money to get a hot chocolate from the nearby McDonalds, which I did.
He came out of his room decked out in snow gear. Heavy coat, boots, goggles and he asked to borrow a pair of my gloves. (he was so excited he forgot he already has two pairs of gloves. One in his room, the other in my car. The other two kids had facemasks and hoodies. One of the kids facemasks was just that...a mask. Like a Halloween mask.
They were so excited and running around so much they could have been naked and kept warm.
In and out of the house two different times, for who knows what. Each time the door left wide open. Nothing like a good "SHUT THE DAMN DOOR!" from dad to put a damper on things.
I don't suppose I'll see him for the rest of the afternoon and into the evening.
