The ungrounding

I ended the grounding today.  There was no way for him to raise his grade by trimester end.  He had been grounded for 1.5 months anyway.  That is more than enough.  All his other grades are B's.  He has learned a lesson.
In mere moments of hearing of the ungrounding, he had turned on the computer and jumped on Facebook.  Next he ran outside wanting to take the recycles out and get the mail AND to let all friends within earshot know of the ungrounding.  Next was the phone.  Next was the Ipod.  He jumped back to the computer and downloaded some songs. 
We watched tv for a bit, he was watching with headphones on and listening to his ipod, until he lost interest and went back the computer. All is right in his world again.
