Life Lessons

Your children are watching.  As parents it is important that you practice what you preach.  If your kids see you say one thing and do another, they won't respect any of the lessons you've taught them.
I have told Sterling that if there is something about yourself that you do not like, change it.
Smoked a pack a day for almost 20 years.  Didn't like that it was killing me. I quit.
Got fat.  Didn't like what I had become.  Lost a bunch of weight.
Realized alcohol was doing me no good.  Haven't had a drop in almost 4 years.

Worrying about things that you cannot control is useless.  If you live your life afraid of something that someone may do, that thing owns you.  That is a bad way to live.  Sterling needs to understand that.

I have let others control me.  Hold things over me.  Compromise who I am.  Compromise my happiness.
I will not let this happen any longer.  Sterling needs to know this.  He needs to see this.  He needs to understand that only he will shape his future.  He needs to understand that he can only rely on himself.
Time to make a change.
