With everything that happens on any given day, it's tough to keep the house organized. One day I told Sterling that we were a team. "Every member of the team must give 100% or it fails." I gave each of us housecleaning responsibilities and we began. Ten minutes in, Sterling asked for help cleaning his bathroom. He didn't need help, he was attempting to lighten his load. I showed him the best way to clean and left to finish my projects.
When he came out of his bathroom he was pissed. "Looks like if you want something done you have to do it yourself" he said and stormed into the laundry room waving dirty towels over his head.
That statement shocked me and pissed ME off. "I pay for this place, I pay for groceries I pay the bills. All I'm asking for is a bit of help you little shit," went through my head.
I followed him into the laundry room and reminded him that we are a team and each of us must contribute equally. I told him that when he has roommate/girlfriend/wife...he will be expected to carry his share of the load.
He understands now and will clean without throwing a hissy fit.

Actually sounds like something a husband might do as well, when they're testing their limits. Sort of like ruining a whole load of clothes to get out of ever doing laundry again!
